Day by day description
Day 1: Mto wa Mbu Cultural activities
After breakfast, you will depart the hotel and drive to Mto wa Mbu, the little town that lies at the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park. Busy with a variety of cultures from around Tanzania, the town is home to more than 120 tribes and it is fascinating to hear the blend of languages and witness first-hand the unique customs. Cultural diversity can be shown in the many entrepreneurial approaches, such as a Rangi weaving colorful, attractive mats and baskets out of papyrus from the lakes and rivers, Chagga people with Banana plantation or Makonde carving portraits out woods of different type.
A tour of the village with company of a local guide gives travelers the opportunity to meet with local farmers as well as artisans, craftsmen, and painters. A sample of the local banana beer offers a distinct taste of local flavor. You will also have lunch in one of the local restaurants an opportunity to have the flavors of Tanzania local dishes.
After a productive day you will head to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game enroute to Serengeti
You’ll begin the day after breakfast driving towards the Serengeti National Park while enjoying the views of the farmland in Karatu and passing through the of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area highlands. As you drive past the rain forest you are most likely to come across a number of wildlife species like buffalos, warthogs and some primates. Leaving the highlands behind, you will enter Serengeti National Park, the heart of untamed Africa, where you will see the iconic savannah endless grasslands and a plethora of ungulates grazing the grassy plains.
You will drive to camp for check-in, have lunch and rest.
At around 15:00 you will head out for an afternoon game drive in the central part of the park known as the Seronera, featuring the Seronera River, it provides a valuable water source that attracts wildlife well representative most of the Serengeti’s species.
As dusk draws close you will drive back to the camp whilst enjoying the vista of the sunset. You will have sometime around the camp fire while having a drink as you wait for dinner.

Day 3: Full day Serengeti National Park
Today is fully dedicated to Serengeti National Park, perhaps the world’s most enchanting and breathtaking park on the planet. You have an opportunity to go an optional balloon ride that start at 4:30am and ends with a champagne breakfast in the midst of the bush.
After breakfast, at 7:00 am, depart the lodge for full day game drive. Your guide will take you through different parts of Serengeti in search for the best wildlife viewing spots.
At around 11:30 you will head back to the camp for lunch a rest a bit before you head out again for an afternoon game drive. You will continue searching for various animals to explore from the Big Five to giraffe, antelopes, hyena, cheetah and many more. You will enjoy sunset while driving back to camp in good time to shower and have a relaxed time around campfire before dinner.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will depart Serengeti National Park and head to Ngorongoro Crater one of the 7th wonders of the World. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world and multiple land use where wildlife and people have managed to coexist together in harmony. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the crater is home to over 120 species of mammals including the Big Five. The crater is hosting a large number of predators including lions, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen around Lake Magadi a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the Lake, which is one of the main features of the crater.
You will have lunch by the hippo pool one of the designated picnic sites then proceed with game drive in other areas of the crater.
In the late afternoon, you will ascend the crater and drive to arusha or airport as per ending destination.
