Day by day description
Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport – Welcome to Tanzania
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our Gusa Travel guide and transfer to Arusha, a journey that takes approximately 1h30m. If the weather is good you will get to see a glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro on the way. You will also see people alongside the road conducting their normal daily activities. Feel free to tell your driver to stop the vehicle in case you see anything interesting that you need clarity on.

Day 2: Fly to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast transfer to Arusha airport and board your flight to Serengeti National Park. You will arrive in time for game enroute to camp for lunch. After a delicious lunch at the camp prepare yourself to explore Serengeti as you go for an afternoon game drive. You will witness Africa’s iconic savannah landscape and sheer number of ungulates roaming these grassy plains before you get to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day Serengeti National Park
Today after breakfast is another day for a great adventure in Serengeti National Park, home to all five of the Big Five. You may decide to go for an optional Balloon ride in the midst of the endless plain which end with breakfast in the bush.
Talk to your guide on what you want to see as every area of the Serengeti has something special to offer. Whether it’s witnessing a rhino amble through the bush near Kopjes, spying on a wild dog, or gasping as you watch a huge cat hunt its meal. You will go back to the camp for lunch then head out again for an afternoon game drive at around 15:00. You will enjoy the sunset as you drive back to the camp during the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast you will depart with picnic lunch and heard to Ngorongoro crater. On the way you will visit a Maasai boma. Explore wildlife in the self-contained ecosystem of Ngorongoro crater.
This is a land of multiple uses where wild animals and human beings have managed to co-exist together in harmony. You will drive more than 600 meters deep to Ngorongoro crater, a fallen mountain believed to erode more than millions of years ago. You will have game drive to search for various animals from endangered black rhinos, lions, buffaloes, elephants, gazelles, warthogs, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, hyenas, jackals, to large flocks of flamingos along Lake Magadi. Late in the afternoon after an eventful game viewing day, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Drive back to Arusha/ Fly to Zanzibar
The end of your wildlife safari is today! However, one last adventure is left, Leaving Karatu in the morning after breakfast, travel through wilderness and striking landscapes dotted with traditional villages in the search of Arusha town.
In the midafternoon, you will arrive at Arusha Coffee lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
Upon touch down in Zanzibar, you will be transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 & 7: Nungwi Beach
These two days, you will be in the driver’s seat and plan any activity of your choice around beach. This gorgeous beach has a lot to offer including walking tours, diving excursions, and parasailing, just to name a few. The lodge organizes a lot of pursuits like diving, snorkeling, village tours and others that you can book and pay for directly. The lodge is booked on half board basis only hence lunch will be on your own arrangement.

Day 8: Morning in Leisure/ Transfer to the Airport / Depart
After Breakfast you will drive to the Airport for your flight back home depending on your flight schedule.
